### TO CONFIGURE THE NFS SERVER ###
'Step 1:-Install the Package'
# ifconfig (check the ip)
# yum install nfs* -y
'Step 2:-Create one Directory to Share'
# mkdir /zoom
# chmod 777 /zoom (give full permission)
# touch /zoom/linux{1..10} (add files to share)
# ls /zoom (to check)
'Step 3:-Edit M.C.F & Provide the Directory Details for sharing in
complete network'
# vim /etc/exports
Come into insert mode & provide entry as given below
/zoom *(rw)
:wq(save & quit the file)
# service nfs restart
# systemctl enable nfs-server.service (to enable service permanently)
# systemctl list-file-units | grep nfs-server.service (to check)
'Step 4:-Check the Result from Linux Client'
Go to linux Client:-
# showmount -e <server_ip> (to check share dir's)
# mount <server_ip:share_dir_path> <mount_point>
# mount 192.168.0.200:/zoom /mnt (for example)
# mount (to check)
# cd /mnt (to access share dir)
# touch unix{1..10} (add some data)
# ls (to check)
TO CHECK THE CLIENT DATA - GO TO SERVER PC & CHECK IN THE LOCATION
/zoom
'Step 5:-To Share Directory for a Particular Client'
# mkdir /linux (create one dir in nfs server)
# chmod 777 /linux
# touch /linux/redhat{1..10}
# vim /etc/exports
/zoom *(rw)
/linux 192.168.0.100(rw)
:wq(Save & Quit the file)
# service nfs restart
TO CHECK THE RESULT - GO TO PARTICULAR CLIENT(0.100)
AND ACCESS THE SHARE DIRECTORY
NOTE:-Permissions for Share Directory in NFS
READ ONLY:(ro) WRITE ONLY:(wo) READ & WRITE:(rw)
